2002 - Galway, Ireland

A long weekend visiting friends in the west of Ireland.

View 2002 Galway on nzhamsta's travel map.

I flew to Shannon and then caught a bus to Galway.

I spent a short time in Limerick while waiting for the bus.

King John's Castle in Limerick.

More of Limerick.

We wandered around the Galway Bay area, including the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and a boat trip up the River Corrib. We also had a couple of decent nights out as well. The Irish really know how to enjoy themselves!

Galway Bay.

The Cliffs of Moher. Who needs a safety rail?

The Cliffs of Moher.

Looking south along the Cliffs.

The Bridge Mills area of Galway and the River Corrib.

St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Cathedral, Galway.

It's all moody and atmospheric on Lough Corrib.
