Friday 24 April to Wednesday 29 April
Auckland to Phuket via Kuala Lumpur. Four days relaxing at my favourite little hotel. Unfortunately, April is the end of the dry season and there is no water. Literally, no water in the pool, nothing coming out of the taps or the shower. Not very good. Plenty of beer though :-)
Wednesday 29 April to Saturday 2 May
A short flight on Air Asia from Phuket to Singapore. Met a friend of mine whom I used to work with. He and his partner are now living in Singapore having transitioned from a carbon fibre engineer to a salesman for a computer hardware company.
Did the tour bus thingy around the city, quite scenic.
