A day trip to the old city of Suzhou, an hour's drive on the motorway.
Being China, food was the first order of the day. The noodles were very good.
From there we walked around the city centre. Very busy.

The next stop was "The Humble Administrator's Garden (拙政园). These are a set of beautiful gardens, pools and pavilions dating from the mid 1500s.
