Thursday 7 April - A drive into the interior to the town of Pamukkale, the site of some natural calcium deposits that look like snow fields. The hotel was very nice and had a very cold swimming pool.

Friday 8 April - A long drive to Selçuk, the site of the Ephesus ruins. Had a good lunch in town and then out to Attila's camp site. Attila is an Australian born Turk who has come back to run a very good camp site and hostel. Played a few games of pool, had a couple of beers and had a great dinner from the truck.

Saturday 9 April - A visit to the site of Ephesus. This is an old Roman city and is one of Turkey's prime tourist attractions. It is a very large site and takes a fair while to wander around properly. After another good lunch in Selçuk, the afternoon was spent wandering the huge market in town and out at Attila's.
