We got some tickets at a very cheap price and decided to have a few days in Palau. These are a beautiful collection of islands about an hour's flying east of the Philippines. The flight were fine but the times were very unfriendly with the plane back to Manila leaving at 6:00am!

The main reason for people visiting them is the diving, snorkelling and kayaking. They are absolutely stunning for these activities.

The first day was on a dive boat along with several diver (mostly Japanese). They went diving and we snorkelled around the reefs and sunbathed on the boat. Got quite sunburnt on the way back. The weather was very changeable and it rained quite heavily for a time as we motored back to the port.

Our second day was on some kayaks that we rented from Sam's Tours. There are dozens of beautiful small islands nearby and they are easy to kayak around.

More kayakers.

There are not many photos here as most of them have my ex-girlfriend in them.

We stayed at a place called the Waterfront Villa. It is a bit out of the way and there were not many people staying. It did however have a good swimming pool and a very friendly American host / owner / cook. He was quite good fun and even bought us beers once he finished cooking our dinner.
