2001 - Stockholm, Sweden

An Easter break to a very chilly Stockholm.

View 2001 Stockholm on nzhamsta's travel map.

My annual Easter trip, this time to a very cold Stockholm. The weather was beautiful with no snow (thankfully) just very cold. It is also a very expensive place to go, especially food and drink. I had one beer the whole weekend.

The youth hostel is in the sailing ship. Great place to stay!

Most of the time was spent wandering around the city, the new Vasa Museum and catching a ferry out to one of the hundreds of islands in the Stockholm archipelago.

The Nordic Museum.

The Gamla Stan (Old Town).

A display in the Vasa Museum.

A nice old house on Djurgården Island in Stockholm harbour.

The fortress on Vaxholm Island.

The old town on the Gamla Stan.

On the Slottsbacken, facing the Royal Palace.

The National Museum.
