Another few days off, this time by the overnight ferry to Hamburg. The ferry port in Hamburg is right opposite the hostel, so nice and convenient.

I had a couple of days in Hamburg, looking around the places I had not been to earlier.

I caught the train to Lübeck. This is an old city on the Baltic coast with a very interesting city centre.

There was another day trip to to the old port city of Bremen. It was badly damaged during the war but along with most German cities has been carefully restored.
