Thursday & Friday 17 & 18 August
Flight to Hong Kong via Kuala Lumpur. All good. Met Hung at the airport, transferred to the hotel in Kowloon.
Dinner with her friends in a small restaurant in the back streets of Jordan. The restaurant specialised in cooking seafood that the customers had brought in themselves.

Saturday 19 August
A lazy morning. Out to Aberdeen to drop off all the goodies I had bought up from home (chocolate, honey, fish oil pills etc).
From there we went to Ocean Park, a large theme park and oceanarium. Hung's daughter works there and can get us free tickets.

Outside Ocean Park.

The place is quite interesting except they have captive dolphins and orca. I refused to attend the performance on cruelty grounds.

Sunday 20 August
Early start for flights to Bangkok. A little bit late arriving. Afternoon walk and good dinner.

Monday 21 August
To the Grand Palace by Skytrain and ferry.

Wat Arun.

The place was very crowded with both tourists and locals paying their respects to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej whose body was lying in state prior to his cremation.
